Project scope

Stratford District Council (SDC) embarked on an initiative to deliver 3,500 homes by 2031, aiming to create quality homes that harmonise with their surroundings. Facing site challenges, the solution involved regenerating a Brownfield site to construct 11 innovative, flood-proof homes. Leveraging architectural expertise, the project addressed flooding by building homes on raised piles, incorporating louvered screens for debris protection, and integrating landscaped rain gardens to manage surface run-off. Additional features included ramped access points and elevated pedestrian and cycle paths for easy building access. This development was meticulously designed to blend with the existing neighbourhood, employing modern, technical know-how to deliver beautiful homes in a safe, dry environment.
