Since 2014, PMP have been working with the college, as part of a multi-million-pound development funded by the Local Enterprise Partnership, helping to address local skills shortages in various sectors. PMP have worked with the Client to produce a number of new build and extension projects to provide practical and theory teaching spaces aimed at tackling the growing skills shortage in the region.

Advanced Skills:
Replacement of a former caretaker’s house with a two-storey building containing teaching facilities to address local skills shortages in engineering, technology and IT.

Agritech:
Construction of a single-storey teaching block and STEM Hub, combining theory and practical teaching spaces aimed towards livestock husbandry.
Value: £2m

Green Construction Centre:
A two-phase project including the construction of the centre to teach students new vocational skills within the sustainable construction sectors and renewable industries.
Value: £2.4m

Buttercross:
Refurbishment and first-floor remodelling of the existing Buttercross building to provide new classrooms and office space to accommodate the college’s expansion.

Broadcast & Media (T-Levels Wave 5):
Refurbishment of three labs and pre-room within Block D to provide teaching apces for the media/TV studio, production and sound control rooms.

Equine Refurbishments:
Extension and fit out comprising two classrooms, staff offices, meeting rooms, science store and demonstration lab.

Electrical Workshops (Block G):
Refurbishment of an area within Block G to provide vocation teaching spaces tailored towards the construction industry.
