Project scope

Derwent Lofts, a Grade II listed building and former home to the renowned metal works factory Taylor and Challen, has been meticulously transformed into 40 luxury apartments and duplexes with winter gardens, as part of the wider regeneration efforts in the area. Throughout the project, PMP worked closely with the client and design team to deliver a development that honoured the site’s rich heritage and historical significance. This iconic building, once a prized asset of the past, has been reimagined as an asset for the future. Given the narrow site boundary and its proximity to public activity, PMP prioritised public safety by extending boundary lines beyond the footpath and coordinating construction works to minimise disruption to the surrounding streets. This project stands as a testament to the successful blend of heritage preservation and modern luxury living.
