Project scope

High Havens is a transformative 1,000 sq m regeneration project revitalising derelict farmland in the Cotswolds, comprising an innovative, low-energy building as a centrepiece for contemporary living and exhibition space. Emphasising sustainability, the project includes planting over a thousand trees and a wildflower meadow to boost biodiversity, dredging and replenishing two lakes, and renovating a natural spring for clean water supply. The building features open-plan living spaces with expansive glazing for optimal views and solar gain, and a timber and concrete composite roof for a low-carbon structure. The striking design, enhanced by digital technology, earned a shortlist spot for the “Structural Timber Awards 2024”, exemplifying cutting-edge low carbon construction and setting a benchmark for future projects.
