The Red House Glass Cone, a Grade II* listed structure in the Stourbridge Glass Quarter, is now a vibrant visitor attraction managed by Dudley MBC. With funding from the BGF, Dudley Council, European Regional Development Fund, and the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the building has been transformed into an interactive gallery and exhibition centre. The space seamlessly combines exhibition areas, a hot glass-making studio, and hands-on activity zones for visitors and families. At its heart is the current glass collection, which takes visitors on an engaging journey through the stories of individuals who helped Stourbridge lead the glass-making industry. Interactive screens with user-friendly interfaces allow visitors to connect with the displays, all within a state-of-the-art space that celebrates the rich heritage of Stourbridge’s glass-making legacy.
